POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
A postdoctoral position is available at NMU Perception in Action’s Lab to participate in an research project involving haptics and psychophysics sponsored by Oculus Research. The post-doc will work with Dr M. Ziat at Northern Michigan University investigating the perception of tactile properties during passive and active explorations. The post-doc will be primarily responsible of the programming and the design of psychophysical experiments, participation in data collection and analysis, preparation and completion of scientific publications. The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, cognitive science, psychology or related areas, should have a strong quantitative background, expertise in psychophysics, experience with programming and haptic interfaces. VR experience will be a plus.
The contract will start September 1st and will last 12 months with a possible renewal for a second year.
